For years I had a knee pain following a heavy Alpine hike. When the pain started to affect my daily routines (such as climbing stairs), I was recommended to see Mr Fairbank. He had an MRI done and advised me to have an anthroscopy. Amazingly this small surgical intervention was absolutely painless and 100% effective. For two days I was limited in bending my knee but that was mainly due to the plasters. What was extremely useful, was the physiotherapy afterwards to unlearn the acquired bad habits. So I am very happy with this operation and I can heartily recommend Mr Fairbank. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and also has an excellent manner with patients, putting one's mind at ease.

My operation (knee arthoscopy) under Mr Fairbank was a painless exerience in more ways than one. He explained what was going to happen and what he expected the outcome to be. To help my understanding, after he'd seen my MRI scan he even drew little pictures to show, in a pre op consultation, what he expected he'd need to do. Then after the op, he drew a picture to show what he'd done. I've not experienced any post op problems. I'd recommend Mr Fairbank to all. A professional and experienced surgeon and a nice man too!

Mr Fairbanks, has left a very positive impression since I first consulted him in January 2013, for poor mobility and severe pain in my Right knee due to Osteoarthritis. He is friendly, caring and very professional. He listens and spends time to explain the condition and the treatment plan very carefully. He performed a Total Right Knee replacement in June 2013, which was very successful. After three months now, I am fully ambulant and pain free. I can't thank him enough for the relief and freedom of movement he has given me. He has an excellent team and I must mention his Secretary Pauline, who was an indispensable help and a guide to me at all times.

Mr Fairbank reviewed a recent MRI after a problem with a netball injury. His explanation of the problem was detailed, comprehensive and at the same time sympathetic. He offered a couple of options to consider and was available to answer further questions by email and phone. I will confirm a date to have keyhole surgery in a few months with Mr Fairbank.
